Amy let out an exasperated sigh. She frustratingly banged her fists on the wooden table.

“There’s no back space!” she hollered out to her husband who was in the small kitchen of their little house.

“What?” called Rory.

“I’m writing a letter, and this stupid old fashioned type writer keeps messing up!” Amy didn’t wait for a reply before continuing with her rant.

“And what, there wont be common computers for like, 50 years! I hate this!” She angrily crumpled up yet another failed paper. She sighed again and put her head in her hands, it was just so annoying to remember the life she had, the privileges she had taken for granted, and now… Now everything, was different. She felt a comforting hand on her shoulder and looked up to see her husband.

“We’ll get through this together, yeah?” he gave her a gentle smile.

“Yeah. Together.”

“Just think about it Amy, we know the future! And now we can explore the coolest part of History!” Rory stated, desperately trying to cheer her up.

“The coolest parts? The 1930s? We could have at least landed in Rome!” she said wistfully.

“Um, no thank you. I think I had enough Roman for a long time, two thousand years to be exact.” said Rory recalling the memory of those long days.

Amy stood up and embraced Rory, he is what she gave up her old life for. She wasn’t going to to let some old fashioned mishaps get in the way of her enjoying the rest of her life with her husband. Amy missed her old life, with all her old technological advantages, she missed traveling with the Doctor, getting to know her daughter… But in the end she would have given up that life a million times over just to stay with Rory. And that was never going to change.
